As a key player in the growth of Dubai, Nakheel feels responsible to unveil the true essence of Dubai, reinforcing that our Islamic culture is the fuel that drives us. With all this said, our critics may challenge us. Much like in the past They said we could never create islands in the middle of a city (Jumeirah Islands) They said trees could never grow in the sea (Palm Jumeirah) They said the world could never be flat (The World) But we continue to say, "What's Next!" What's Next is a project inspired by the very principles that govern Dubai. As His Highness Sheikh Mohammed often emphasizes: "Before evaluating the future, we have to take a quick look at the past. For it is the foundation of tomorrow." So we have used various Islamic elements to inspire the design of our newest masterpiece, Nakheel Harbour & Tower: Dubai's Capital. Made up of four distinct districts that take inspiration from Islamic architectural patterns representing unity and balance, Nakheel Harbour & Tower builds on the achievements of Islamic engineering. The four districts were inspired by the great Islamic cities of the past, such as Tangiers' grand promenade in Morocco, Alexandria's glorious port in Egypt, Isfahan's transcendent bridges in Iran, and Alhambra's majestic gardens in Spain. Located in the center of Dubai - at the intersection of Sheikh Zayed Road and the Arabian Canal, Nakheel Harbour & Tower will unify Dubai by creating an all-inclusive community and destination for citizens both in Dubai as well as around the world.
