Talkin' Shite - How To Speak "Norn Iron" Upon 75,000 views; A video made two and a half years ago, bored one Sunday afternoon should never, and was never intended to spark a mass conflict between the good old unionists and republicans. This video is merely intended to poke fun at the country I proudly, whether Catholic or Protestant, come from. I've read every single comment that came through my inbox, and in a strikingly uncharactistic manner, bit my tongue throughout refusing to comment once. I now feel the need to considering the scale of the problem - I truly can't be arsed reading any more Irish history every day I log into my Hotmail. YouTube is as much a vehicle for my creative output as it is for yours, but the debate would be better suited to one of the infinate number of other Northern Irish videos out there. Trust me, I've seen a few. This is just me, some kid with no religious, historical or political beliefs whatsoever, having a bit of "craic" on YouTube. Suddenly, I feel like the mature one, despite being utterly embarrassed by the video itself. For those who wish to continue debating on my page (and please do, if you feel it betters yours or anyone elses day by doing so), please think before you type. Is your reaction going to be a true, positive reflection of being Irish - North or South - or are you just helping spur the years of issues our country has suffered, despite how informed you may be? Think how it looks to outsiders. Believe me, most of them already believe we can't leave the house without a petrol bomb. For the beloved majority who have commented, emailed, messaged and greeted me in person, I thank you. Each one brings a unique smile to a difficult face, and I'm truly pleased to have been able to make you smile as well. Please, for your sake, and mine... Keep 'er country!
